Welcome to Copper Leaf
Welcome to Copper Leaf
The Copper Leaf Homeowner’s Association currently includes 179 homes, which will increase with the completion of phase four. While Mr. Short still oversees the community as the developer, he is working to establish various committees and procedures to help the subdivision’s management transition to the homeowners association. Community members voluntarily serve on committees and discuss and advise on several issues, including current and ongoing maintenance items, budgeting and accounting, compliance with the covenants, and much more.
As noted above, the Copper Leaf Homeowners’ Association is a covenant community driven by written guidelines and expectations. To maintain the community’s aesthetics and value, all homeowners must review and follow these covenants. Upon accepting the title to their home, homeowners must comply with the set covenants and restrictions.
About Copper Leaf
The developer, Mr. Richard Short, started construction on the Copper Leaf subdivision more than a decade ago. His vision was to do more than build beautiful homes, he wanted to create a beautiful community for homeowners to enjoy. His dream was to eventually hire a coordinator to plan monthly events, such as game nights at the park, various classes at the clubhouse, an Easter egg hunt in the Spring, an outing to a Springfield Cardinals game, and whatever other events could bring people together.
When the recession hit several years ago, it put that vision and dream on hold. As the fourth phase of the subdivision is being built and more families move into the area, Short looks forward to realizing his vision and dream for the Copper Leaf community. And, he wants the community to continue to grow and flourish for years to come.
